33rd International and 26th National Day of Persons with Disabilities 2024 celebrated in Bhola district on 03 December

Keeping in mind the theme "Building an inclusive sustainable future, people with disabilities will move forward with developed leadership", the 33rd International and 26th National Day of Persons with Disabilities 2024 was celebrated with due dignity in Bhola district today, December 3.



A rally jointly organized by the District Administration, Department of Social Services and Disability Services and Support Center, Bhola, marked the day by starting from the Bhola Deputy Commissioner's office premises at 9:30 am and circling the important roads of the city and ending at the same place. 


A discussion meeting was held at 10:00 am in the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner, Mr. Bhola. 


Mr. Md. Manjur Hossain, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) was present as the chief guest at the event.


After the discussion meeting, the Additional Deputy Commissioner handed over tricycles to 02 physically disabled persons and a check for a donation of 1 lakh 52 thousand taka from the District Social Welfare Committee fund to the families of 35 disabled and sick persons.


Mr. Ripon Chandra Sarkar, Additional Superintendent of Police Bhola, Mr. Sajal Chandra Shil, Upazila Executive Officer, Bhola Sadar, Assistant Director of the Youth Development Department, Assistant Director of the District Social Services Office, Bhola Mr. Kazi Golam Kabir, Mr. Md. Mizan Salahuddin, Disability Affairs Officer Mr. Saidur Rahman, officials and employees of various government departments, teachers, employees, students of Bhola Intellectually Disabled and Autistic School, Bhola's Children's Disability Center, representatives of voluntary organizations, students and guardians, media personnel and well-wishers were present at the time.
