Financial Assistance Program

Financial grant from District Social Welfare Committee:

A one-time maximum of Rs.10,000/- (Ten Thousand) can be applied in white paper from the District Social Welfare Committee, Bhola. Attested photocopy of National Identity Card, attested proof of problem mentioned in the application form for obtaining assistance should be submitted along with the application.


Grants can be applied for in the following cases:


1. Destitute poor persons or families affected by sudden calamities/natural calamities

2. Destitute poor persons or families seriously affected by road/ sea/ rail accidents

3. Poor people or families affected by fire

4. Medical assistance to poor person or family affected by fire/acid burns

5. Access to medical assistance for poor people suffering from terminal and complex diseases

6. Assistance for the education of meritorious students from very poor families

7. Grant assistance to the affected immediately considering the situation

8. Be a member of a small ethnic group or small ethnic group


* One-time grant to slum dwellers affected by river erosion: 


Subject to receipt of allocation from Bangladesh National Social Welfare Council, Dhaka, a one-time financial grant of up to 10,000 (ten thousand) taka is given to slum dwellers affected by river erosion. Beneficiaries are selected according to the list received from the concerned Upazila Social Welfare Committee.


One-time grant for housing program under Bangladesh National Social Welfare Council: 

Bangladesh National Social Welfare Council, Dhaka, subject to receiving allocations, houses were constructed for slum dwellers affected by river erosion. In this case the design of the house is followed as per Shelter Scheme-II of Honorable Prime Minister's Office. Beneficiaries are selected according to the list received from the concerned upazila committee.


Distribution of one-time grants to small ethnic groups: 

In Bhola District, elderly people from minority ethnic groups are given grants subject to allocation from Bangladesh National Social Welfare Council, Dhaka and one-time education scholarships for students from minority ethnic groups.
