Although the Hijra community is a small part of the total population of Bangladesh, this community has been known as a neglected and backward group since recent times. The government has taken this program with the aim of ensuring the family, socioeconomic, educational system, accommodation, health development and social security of these people who are victims of discriminatory behavior in the society, bringing them into the mainstream of the society and involving them in the overall development of the country. From the financial year 2021-22, the allowance of this program is being sent as 'cash' mobile to the beneficiary through GTP system. 114 Hijras have been identified in Bhola district so far. Identification is in progress.
This program started as a pilot program in 7 districts of the country from 2012-2013 financial year. This program has been launched in Bhola district in the financial year 2013-14.
Aims and Objectives :
1. Identification and issuance of identity cards to transgender persons;
2. Empowerment of Hijra youth through training and engagement in income generating activities;
3. Socio-economic development and social security provision of the elderly Hijra population; 600 per person monthly special allowance for disabled and indigent hijras aged 50 years and above;
4. Enhance the status of transgender people in family and society;
5. Empowerment of transgender people through financial assistance;
6. To play a role in achieving the various goals included in the short, medium and long term plans adopted by the government for the welfare and social security of the Hijra community.
Enhancing the skills of the working Hijra community through vocational training and bringing them into the mainstream of society by involving them in income-generating activities;
10,000/-(ten thousand) financial assistance after training.

Service Delivery Procedures ( In Brief ):
Subject to receipt of allotment (Bhola Sadar/ Daulatkhan/ Borhanuddin/ Lalmohan/ Tajumuddin/ Charfashan/ Manpura) Upazila / City Social Service Officer publishes circular. Then the allowance has to be applied online. Application link: //mis.bhata.gov.bd/onlineApplication The received application is scrutinized by the union/municipal committee on the spot and sent to the upazila committee in the form of a proposal. Then the upazila committee scrutinizes and selects the beneficiaries according to the allocation. Data entry in MIS in the name of the selected person, opening of Mobile Financial Service 'Cash' account, verification and dispatch of payroll from field office. Allowance is remitted to Beneficiary's mobile/bank through EFT (Electronic Fund Transfer) through GTU (Government to Person) method through Ibus++ subject to approval of remitted payroll.
Trade based quality of life development training
Due to social discrimination, the Hijra population is being self-reliant and creating opportunities for normal life on the basis of equal rights and equality in the society. The reintegration program is being conducted by identifying the working Hijra population and providing them with skill development training based on local needs. The purpose of skill development training is to engage the target population in income generation programs to improve their standard of living and make them self-reliant. According to the training module, basic skill development training, formal psychosocial counseling, basic awareness raising training and refreshers training are provided to the targeted Hijra community through the City Social Service Office under the Department of Social Services under the supervision of the District and Upazila Committees and the trainees are provided with a non-refundable financial assistance of Tk 10,000 after the training. . Subjects covered in the training modules are Haircutting, Beautification, Driving, Computers, Sewing, Cutting, Blocks, Batik and Handicrafts or trades determined based on local demand.

1. Within 03 months of application subject to receipt of new allotment;
2. In case of old or regular 07 working days
