Achievements

Major achievements in recent years (3 years):

District Social Services Office, Bhola, District Office under Department of Social Services. Department of Social Services as one of the nation-building departments of the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh is providing services to the distressed, poor, neglected, backward, underprivileged, troubled backward and disabled people of the country. By turning all these target groups into human resources, the Department of Social Services is playing an important role in the overall development of the country by alleviating poverty and providing social security. In the last three years, 0.75336 lakh elderly beneficiaries, 0.36345 lakh widows, widows and widowers, 0.40024 lakh disabled disabled beneficiaries, 1.318 thousand disabled students and 1.53023 lakh beneficiaries have been given G2P (Government) through the offices under the District Social Services Office. to Person) Mobile Financial Services are provided through cash and development and agent banks. 0.45866 lakh persons with disabilities have been identified, assessed and issued identity cards. Construction of District Social Service Complex has been undertaken in Bhola district.


 Potential Major Achievements for FY 2024-25 :

  • Payment of old age allowance to 0.79103 lakh persons;
  • 0.38162 lakhs allowance to widowed husband Nigrihita women;
  • Disbursement of poor disability allowance to 0.44 lakh disabled persons and education stipend to 1.318 thousand disabled students;
  • In order to improve the quality of life of special classes of society, especially Hijra, Bede and backward people, 0.2144 thousand people will be given special allowances and 0.951 thousand children will be given educational scholarships;
  • Accommodation, education and training of 180 underprivileged children will be ensured through 02 government children's families;
  • Measures will be taken to mainstream the development of 0.45866 lakh persons with disabilities stored in the Central Database of Disability Identification Survey;
  • Implementation of human resource management software project in Bhola Division; And
  • In light of SDGs target 5.4.1, awareness will be raised to promote the status of substandard domestic work.
